BRANCH MEETING
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2004
FALL MEMBERSHIP MEETING – CARLISLE, PA
President Chris Lessig called the meeting to order at 12:55 pm. The following
members were present: President Chris Lessig, Recording Secretary Judy Houck,
Membership Secretary John Mikowychok, Members At Large – Neal McNutt.
President Lessig welcomed Karl Saatman and Jessica Magners
to the meeting. Karl is the Park Manager for Ephrata
Recreation Center and Jessica is a student at York College.
Elections: The following positions are up for re-election
this spring: President Elect, Recording Secretary and
Membership Secretary. John Mikowychok has agreed to run
for Membership Secretary again. Judy has been Recording
Secretary since 1997 and is not interested in continuing
at this time. Discussion was held regarding any individuals
who might be interested. If anyone has any suggestions,
please forward the names to Chris.
Plan of Work – Brief discussion on our role as a
branch. Chris will discuss with the Board of Directors
what the status of the Institute is. He will also be meeting
with State Parks to discuss the Plan of Work and review
our Mission and Vision Statements. EVERY MEMBER IS TO BRING
A LIST OF BOOKS/REFERENCES WE HAVE IN OUR OFFICE TO THE
NEXT MEETING. This is for the resource library at the Institute.
Judy was asked to re-send the Plan of Work information
to committee members.
Website Information – Chris reminded everyone that
we needed to get information onto our web page. Each Executive
Committee member was assigned a topic to get information
for the website.
Certification - PRPS President Carolyn Hanel stepped into
the meeting and questioned the possibility of having
a certification process for park maintenance personnel.
This topic will be placed on the agenda for the next
Executive Committee Meeting.

With there being no further business to attend to, the
meeting was adjourned at 1:30 pm.
