Community Relations Coordinator (posted April 17, 2017)

East Pikeland Township, Chester County is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Community Relations Coordinator. This is a new, full-time position with competitive salary and benefits. Starting salary expected to be in the $50K range, depending on experience/qualifications. The Community Relations Coordinator will perform administrative and professional work in the planning, development and operation of recreation, open space, and environmental programming for the township; including planning and managing recreation activities and special community events; coordinating open space acquisition and creating environmental education programs.

Applicants should have excellent customer service skills, computer skills, the ability to exercise good judgment and tact in dealing with the public, experience in general office practices, and be able to use modern office equipment. A flexible schedule is required as the work schedule will include some evenings and weekends for meetings, programs and special events.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields or disciplines: natural resources management, environmental studies, park and recreation management or related field; a minimum of two years’ experience in parks, recreation, stewardship, resource management, environmental management or similar fields. Work with similar duties and responsibilities in a municipal or county open space or recreation department is a plus.

Fitness Program Coordinator (Full-time) – Plymouth Township is seeking an experienced coordinator to lead our group fitness program. 35 hours per week to include evenings, one weekend day, and occasional morning shifts as needed.
