2023 Shop Talk - Introduction to Capital Replacement Planning

The first quarter of 2023, Shop Talk will focus on various operational elements that greatly impact staff efficiency and engagement. For our March session, we invited Candace Ward, Facility and Program Manager for the City of Bartlett, TN Parks and Recreation, to share her perspective on capital replacement planning, and long-term operations budget management. Participants will: 1. Gain perspective into how to develop a capital replacement mindset 2. Identify stakeholders that need to be involved with plan management 3. Learn common metrics used to measure asset management and budget decisions 4. Identify key indicators that "tell stories" and assist with justification of expenditures
